Map Regions

Different intergovernmental organisations have used different map regions for their programs. However, the generation of some baseline data from the global monitoring RBAPTS program, provides the rationale for the current use of the twelve regions identified in the 2003 United Nation's Environment Program regional and global reports. The maps of these regions can be used to locate areas where community monitoring initiatives are happening.

At this preliminary stage of the mapping project, only Australia from within UNEP's Region 8 is active.
